Anonymous: “Kindness to me is a way you act towards somebody but it is a nice way. I show kindness by when people are confused in math because it is hard sometimes and sometimes people ask me for help and even if I don’t know it either I still try to help.”

The Dear Abby girls have taken on bullying. We as Barry School try our best to get rid of bullying, but it still happens. Especially out of the sight of adults in the building. Bathrooms, locker rooms, the lunch room, and even hallways are the main place. How do students handle being bullied, seeing it, and doing it. Let's find out. . .
Anonymous: “What I think bullying is, is that I think it is when someone makes you feel like someone less than who you really are and putting someone else down when you don’t think that you are enough. And what I think we can do to stop it is to always just make sure it is a safe environment and know that everyone here is loved for and there is always counselors to help you.” Anonymous: “Bullying is when someone repeatedly does something bad and makes you angry and you can stop it by telling counselors. Anonymous: “With stress, you kind of just gotta sit down, relax, and turn on one of those things that shoot out air, just take a break, or ask someone for help.” Anonymous: “I take a breather, calm myself down, think about my problem and think, do I really need to be stressed about this, because most of the time it's little things that I don’t need to be stressed about like grades, etc.” Anonymous: “When I am stressed I just take a break, play video games, and do things I like.” Anonymous: “ I just stop, chill and take a breath you know. Stuff like that.” Anonymous: “I just take a break and you know, sleep, and sleep, and sleep.” Anonymous: “I take deep breaths and tell myself that I can do this, and I do my best.” Anonymous: “I deal with stress by just pausing, and like taking a drink, and then I am ready to come back to it.” |
