Shrek is a phenomenon. It's somehow stayed so relevant in conversations ever since its release. But what's so important about the movie? Is it the story? Is it the performance? Or is it the cast? It's none of those. It's not a very good movie but to my surprise, its kinda good. There are some scenes that are truly all inspiring. For example, when Shrek and Eddie Murphy are in a field of sunflowers he says,” Ogres are like onions. They both have layers.¨ That scene got me thinking for at least 5 minutes of my day. Some scenes are completely pointless. Like the scene they are torturing the gingerbread man. Over all I give this film a good 6/10.
